  • Canine <70# = $28/day
  • Canine >70# = $40/day

  • Internal Medicine Services:  We provide diagnostic workups and treatment for a variety of illnesses.  We offer expertise in areas such as cardiology (heart), ophthalmology (eye), dermatology (skin), gastroenterology (digestive tract), endocrinology (glandular diseases), oncology (cancer), and neurology (brain/nervous system)

  • Cardiology:  Many pets have heart disease such as heart murmurs or heartworms  that can often progress silently with few to no symptoms.  If your pet is coughing or becomes tired easily, consider an exam by a veterinarian.

  • Ophthalmology:  Glaucoma, cataracts, and “pink eye” are not only common diseases in humans but also can occur in pets.  Watch for light sensitivity (squinting), redness, or discharge.

  • Dermatology:  Central Texas is known for its inhalant allergies.  Pets are no exception to their effects.  Skin and ear disease are common byproducts of allergies.  Pets often seem itchy or shake their head frequently.

  • Gastroenterology:  Some pets have sensitive digestive tracts and are subject to inappetance, vomiting, or diarrhea.

  • Endocrinology:  Diabetes is a common ailment of both dogs and cats.  Signs can include excessive water intake and urinations.  Weight loss also occurs despite a good appetite.

  • Oncology:  Cancer is unfortunately as prevalent in pets as it is in humans.  Skin and internal cancers can occur.

  • Neurology:  Seizures and intervertebral disc disease causing nerve impairment are also noted in pets.

  • Surgery:  Including standard spays/neuters/declaws as well as more advanced soft tissue surgery.  We use state of the art monitoring of all patients during any anesthetic procedure.  Our emphasis is on pain management before and after surgery.

  • Dental Cleanings:  Because the mouth can act as a source of infection for the rest of the body, AM/PM Animal Hospital believes in preventative routine dental care.  We not only ultrasonically clean the teeth, we also fluoride and polish the teeth.  Tooth extractions can also be performed if needed.

  • Extensive Pharmacy:  We have an expansive drug and prescription food pharmacy to meet your pet’s needs.

  • Microchipping:  This permanent means of identification for your pet is provided as a service to hopefully facilitate your pet’s safe return if he/she is lost.  Area shelters scan lost pets for these microchips on admittance to their facility.  We also have a “Universal” microchip scanner that can check any stray animal you may have found.

  • Heartworm Treatments:  Not only do we diagnose Heartworm Disease, we also devise a plan to make the treatment as safe as possible for your pet.

  • OFA Certification:  We offer this service for hip and/or elbow certification.

  • Radiology and In-House Blood work Laboratory:  This allows us to diagnose your pet in a timely fashion so that appropriate treatment can be initiated sooner.

  • Blood Pressure Measurements:  High blood pressure is a silent disease in humans as well as in animals.  It can be associated with such diseases as kidney failure and hyperthyroidism.

  • Preventative Medicine:  We offer screening blood work and thorough physical exams with an emphasis on preventing disease to keep your pet healthy longer.

  • Medicated Baths and Dips:  For those patients with ringworm or mange conditions, we provide appropriate baths and prescribed dips as treatment.
